Not bad.....But hard to see....
Cool game, but the enemies are WAY too hard to see. Plus the reload feature is kind of irritating. Kinda like Lethal Enforcers. :)

3D Flash Graphics! Nice!
WOW!!! The first thing that you'll immediately notice about Nimian Flyer are the really nice 3D scaling graphics! Very nicely done animation coupled with a cool premise. The sound was decent, but there was nothing there that I haven't heard before, and the music just seemed a little tedious. This game could have become one of NG's BEST games ever! The only place that it falls WAY short is the control area. The controls were absolutely atrocious for a game that had so much potential. I could barely control the 'Nimian Flyer'. For a shooter style game, control is one of the most important factors, and this game fell way short of that. With the creator's OBVIOUS inspiration that stemmed from such great shooter games set in the 3rd person perspective, you could definitely see treaces of SEGA's Space Harrier, After Burner, Thunder Blade and even more recent resemblances from the Panzer Dragoon Series. I guess the Nimian Flyer was based on Panzer Dragoon? I'm pretty sure it was inspired by that judging from the way the Nimian Flyer is designed and animated.
Hopefully, when Mr. Kabwe's NEXT Flash game is produced, he'll concentrate more on the control aspect of the game instead of just concentrating on the graphics.
What was the lesson to be learned here?
Just because a game has nice graphics, that doesn't mean it has nice gameplay.
Other than the control aspect, this was a really nice effort.
I hate the content, but it's still a decent game
I really hate the fact that you play a coke addict in this game, but since it's only a game, and I hope that you're not actually stupid enough to do drugs and become and addict by playing this game. If you are, you deserve to shoot yourself. Okay, now about the game itself, it's actually kind of similar to playing a game of jacks. You have to snort your coke, while watching out for the hallucinations that re trying to take your 'stash' away. I liked the idea of attempting to do 2 different things at once. Now the sound was all there in terms of music. Kinda dramatic, and tragic, yet it fit the game just fine. The sound effects were really nice. I just love the sound of gunshots! ;-)
Not a bad game. If you can ignore the fact about playing the role of a cocaine addict, you should enjoy the game regardless.
If you are easily offended by the thought of violence and drug usage, what are you doing here at Newgrounds anyway? ;-)
Bob the Chicken has his revenge.....
Now I'm a REALLY big fan of shooter games. The first thing that will probably vear people off is the name of the game, which does not seem to fit the profile of a shooter game, but then again, look at Konami's Parodious series! I really liked the way that you could use the mouse as the control for this game, as opposed to the keyboard. In a shooter, the best control means everything when it comes to actually enjoying the game. The graphics in this game didn't seem to be as detailed as Mr. Choy's other game Hydroblast, but they still fit the bill in terms of graphics for a game with a funny storyline like this one. Now the music and sound, that is where this flash game really shines. I really liked the choice of music, and it really got me into the game. Sometimes just having a really good soundtrack is all that it takes to make people play and remember a game. Nice choice! Especially when you chose MDFMK! :-) This game is no Raiden, or Gradius, but then again, if you had the capability to do a flash game like that, you'd be a god! Still, you have a good game here that should please even the most seasoned shooter game veterans.
Arcade style sound and control!
Hmmm....This was actually an interesting flash game to play. I really liked the character sprites. They were done kind of in vain of the DKC series. Nicely done. The sound effects were very reminiscent of some old pinball machine, but they were interesting nonetheless. I was kinda bummed out because there was no music to go along with the action, still though, it's not a bad game. I also like the main character; he kinda looks like Scrotum the Puppy. :-)
Great shooter! Point and click like mad!!
What can I say about Combat Instinct? Well, I can say that this is one of the most interesting and well put together Flash games that I've played so far. The ship design is decent, and very creative. It's too bad that the creator didn't put more detail into the ships, otherwise, the 'sprites' are great also in terms of speed. You put your cursoer where you want, and the enemies are in your sights! Very accurate! I also loved the fact that the creator used Korn's 'Got The Life' for the title and boss sequences. Good choice in music! This game also had a very cool storyline. I'm a sucker for a good game with a good storyline, and this melded those two together quite well. Definitely one of NG's BEST entries yet!
I'm not evil.... It's just that some of my actions would make me appear that way. You could say that I'm..... Neutral. Think of me as someone who has 'Dark' intentions that would ultimately benefit the greater good. "Vae Victus"
