Good artwork.

I like how you made this Goth Girl proportionate with so many fitting accessories of clothing.

As for the music choice, Switchblade Symphony would be a great choice. I think that anything from either "The 3 Calamities" or "Bread And Jam For Frances" would suffice and add to this flash quite nicely.

GREAT GAME!

This really reminded me of an old school game called "Flashback". The controls were responsive and the gameplay was a bit on the hard side due to those damned bats and other than the lack of sound, you've got a solid game here. If you put in some sounds, you'd have a complete game. EXCELLENT WORK!

This is a great concept.

I especially liked how you came up with the idea for using the shift and control keys to zoom in or out. I think you should work on this game. As a matter of fact, I was supposed to work on a 'sniper' game with someone last year, but things kind of fell apart. I'm willing to work with you on this if you wouldn't mind an artist. This is gonna' be a HOT shooter!

WOW! That's the first thing I said when I first played this game. As a big fan of the Shooter Game Genre, I can't really compare this to games series like Raiden, Gradius or anything by Technosoft but I can say that for a Flash game, this is definitely top-notch. The character sprites were nicely drawn although they were not really animated, the control scheme was well thought out and responsive (good idea on basing "S" for shield and "B" for bomb), the music and sound effects were crisp, clear and original and the overall concept was great. However, the game got pretty difficult to deal with when you were trying to shoot the ship's lasers: 1) You could rapid fire the lasers, but the distance was greatly shoretened and 2) sometimes the lasers would pass through the targets altogether. Work on the lasers problem and you've got a better controlling game. As for the gameplay itself, it got pretty repetitive after a while because there seemed to be a major lack of variety to the enemies as well as a shortage of power ups. Maybe you could also try and animate the sprites a little bit. Perhaps have the ship tilt to the side whenever it made a turn. Overall, you did a great job. I can tell you put a lot of hard work into this. I can't wait to see what you'll come up with next.

Points really well taken! I am thinking about the most efficient way to get the ship to "bank" when turning without having to spend too long on redoing stuff. Thanks for the input!

A very good shooter with a good plot.

I can see Legend of Eden becoming a great shooter. As a HUGE FAN of shooter games, I ranked this and compared it to some of my favorite Flash related shooter games since comparing to something like a Konami shooter series or Technosoft shooter series wouldn't have been fair. Here's my breakdown: GRAPHICS - Very simply drawn but it came across very well once I saw the animation. The backgrounds were nicely done, especially in the first area where you could see the Frigate in the background firing it's cannons and flashing it's revolving strobe lights. The enemies were pretty repetitive, but the way the bosses were designed were pretty creative. You did an excellent job programming the action-scripting. Of course, things still affect your ships shields even though they should not like when you've shot down an enemy ship, your shields still go down even though the enemy has completely been destroyed/disintegrated or when you're going against the Blue Dragon Boss.... the Blue Dragon can still damage you even though it's barely touching the FLAMES of your Interceptor's exhaust. Change those details and you've got a great game. SOUND - Nice choice in music. The 2nd stage's music was easier to listen to than the 1st stage's but I suppose it's all on personal preference. The sound effects were clear but got repetitive after a while. INTERACTIVITY - To me, shooters should be played with control sticks or a really good cross-pad and not with keyboard buttons. But since you really don't have a choice in Flash, I would have to say the controls were precise. Again, it's repetitive because all you have to do is control the ship and keep the space bar held down for auto fire. STYLE - Legend Of Eden has a great plot to it and shooter games are always fun (IMHO), but the game got a bit (again) repetitive because all you really had to do was sweep up and down to clear the enemies from the screen. However, the bosses were a challenge, especially the 2nd stage Mid-Boss (Spiral-Eye). VIOLENCE - You killed many living organisms once you reached Eden. :P HUMOR - Well, what I found funny was the appearance of the bosses. OVERALL - You've got a good game on your hands if you correct a few things that I mentioned. Add some power ups (besides the SHIELD UP which only appears ONCE!) as well as some enemy variety and you'll have an even better game. WELL DONE

For a stick figure type film....

This is pretty damned good. The weapons and vehicles are detailed but I guess you decided to use stick figures for a 'humorous' effect. It worked. As for the sound, you selected some pretty good music to use. The music you chose fit the feel and humor of the film perfectly. As for the general gameplay, there's not much to be desired in terms of 'tight control' since it's just a 'choose your own path' and simple 'point and click' (gun battle) type of game. Still pretty good. You have a good series here on your hands. I can't wait to see the future episodes of Assault. EXCELLENT WORK!

Through the eyes of a Soapbubble

I've always wondered why soapbubbles always moved strangely. It was almost as if some of them were sentient. lol Anyways, EXCELLENT game! This game truly takes a big step forward in terms of creativity. I would have never thought that the simple background storyline of a Soapbubble would be so entertaining. The game controls are tightly responsive and work well with the overall mood and feel of the game. The graphics were simple, but the hazards for the Soapbubble were done in such fine detail that every little thing could make the Soapbubble pop (just like in real life.) :-) You've done an amazing job at producing such a high quality Flash Game. I'm definitely looking forward to your future efforts. Well done!

WELL DONE!!

This is by far, my favorite "point-and-click" Flash game to date. Sure, it's a bit short, but everything from the programming, sound effects, graphics and details were right on the money. It's no wonder, since this came from Professionals who make Flash animations/games for a living. EXCELLENT WORK!

Ha ha ha....Funny title!

I loved this serious parody (is that possible?) of Sega's "House Of The Dead". The graphics weren't bad. Could have edged them out more, but it fit the mood and feel of the game. As for the play mechanics, the controls were as responsive as a "point-and-click" game can get. The sound effects were nice and loud but the dialogue that was said by the main character was just too low to hear. Not a bad game. Smooth out the edges and you've got a great game. Nice work!

This is going to be a solid game.

You know, your programming skills are certainly the best that I've seen here on NG. I enjoyed this game very much, but was kind of hindered by the clever, yet hard to control aiming scheme. Overall, you did an EXCELLENT JOB. I can't wait to see the final version(s) of this game.

I'm not evil.... It's just that some of my actions would make me appear that way. You could say that I'm..... Neutral. Think of me as someone who has 'Dark' intentions that would ultimately benefit the greater good. "Vae Victus"
